Everest Trekking

Everest Trekking This is the second popular trekking in Nepal with the high efficiency and competitive facilities of lodges and resorts and lies in the eastern part of Nepal. During the trekking anyone can enjoy the breathtaking view of Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha – Nepali name) along with Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Nuptse, Pumari, Thamserku, Amadablam etc. It is the land of Sherpas. Broken into deep gorges and glacial valleys. The trekking area is covered by Sagarmatha National Park and the total area measured for this park is 1148 sq km. The area has vegetation graduating from pine, hemlock, fir, juniper, birch, rhododendrons and shrubs to alpine plants and then to bare rock and snow. The area is home to the Himalayan tahr, ghoral, serow and musk deer. Common birds are the impeyan, pheasant, blood pheasant, red-billed cough and the yellow-billed cough. Elevation ranges from 2845 – 8848 m. Trekking in this region starts either form Jiri or from Lukla (50 mins airtrip from Kathmandu). Some of the popular trekking in this area is listed below:

  • Jiri to Everest Base camp and fly out from Lukla: 18-22 days
  • Jiri to Everest Base camp and out from Jiri: 28 – 32 days
  • Everest Camp (fly in and out): 10-14 days
  • Everst base camp with Gokyo (fly in and out): 15-20 days
  • Gokyo trek (fly in and out): 8-12 days

Day 01: Pick up and transfer to hotel

Day 04: Phakding to Namche (3500m) 6 hours trek
Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche
Day 06: Namche to Tengbuche (3800 m) 5 hours trek
Day 07: Tengbuche to Dingbuche (4400m) 6 hours
Day 08: Acclimatization day in Dingbuche.
Day 09: Trek to Lobuche (4900m), 6 hours trek
Day 10: Lobuche to Gorakshep and EBC and back to Gorakshep(5200 m) 8 hours trek
Day 11: Lobuche to kalapatther (5555m) and back to Gorakshep and descend to Lobuche
Day 12: Lobuche to Tenbuche
Day 13: Tengbuche to Phakding
Day 14: Phakding to Lukla trek
Day 15: Lukla to Kathmandu early morning flight
Day 16: Kathmandu to Airport transfer and fly back home
